Slasher U[]
According to Kelly,
"Slasher U is the finest horror movie undergraduate university in the continental United States",
(and the ninth finest graduate horror movie university).
To get amitted you're supposed to pass an exam, fill an application*, fill all the nesessary "forms". In the beginning of the year you are supposed to register for classes, get room assignment and schedule.
By attending your classes you level-up. There is a certain level for each class that is required for graduation.
Slasher U is ruled by Dean Whatsisname. If you're the poor lost drunk freshman that was unlucky to not have done all the required actions mentioned above, you can ask for help from student life director (Kelly). She will register your major and send all the information you will need for studies to your e-mail. Also she provides info about everything that is about studying process at Slasher U. Bursar Killington is a... sarcastic old man, mostly. And he also has to do something with the "forms", i dunno. Someone, please, fix this.
Majors and classes[]
There are 3 pickable in-game majors: Final Girls Studies, Summer Camp Slashery and A/V.
Other majors, mentioned in the game and other official sourses:
- Masked Murder (the art of chasing victims and being classic masked horror villain).
- Slashery Law (run by professor Ripper, overviews victorian gallows justice law).
- Mad Neuroscience.
Final Girl Studies is a competitive program for all genders and those who want to survive to the end of their movie and look good doing it. Its very physically demanding as it requires lots of running. Students majoring FGS get to take a lot of classes with students from Masked Murder and Summer Camp Slasher majors.
A/V or Audio Visual Studies: one of the most popular majors at Slasher U. Studying art of documentary films; prepares for horror directing, SFX art, real-play tabletop RPG podcast hosting. Includes film classes, shooting peers (with a video camera) and spending lots of time in editing dungeon. SU offers some finest film sound and editing facilities like... (*check tates dialog*) Note: outside VHS screens there are often hazards because ghost students like to use them as a subway system.
Summer Camp Slashery is, according to Kelly, a "fun one". Learning survival skills, knots, how to build a fire, machete techniques, mask making and all of the great outdoors. Note: no great slasher is complete without a person who foils them (which is the Final Girl). At Slasher U, SCS students are constantly getting sunburned and suffering from peeling dermatitis.
Each major has a specific set of classes in it, which can be completed or partaken anytime. Kelly says,
"Admins are lax about scheduling at Slasher U".
When u pass each of classes in your major you get to graduate (unless you do "something really stupid"). You spend most time with students in your major.
SCS and FGS students attend Student Hunting and Hallway Running classes. These classes are presented in-game as minigames. There's an unfinished minigame (ver. 4) which supposedly is a class for A/V majoring that can be found at the campus set. (*link for the cs article)
The rest of classes, mentioned but not interactable for the player:
- Analog horror: treated as biopic.
- *check sawyer dialogs*
- *check tates av email*
By attending your classes you level-up. There is a certain level for each class that is required for graduation. For Student Hunting it's ..., for Hallway Running - ....
